At Unknown I only use the best materials available. From the core on out - I hand select every material to ensure your board will have an extended life and superior performance.
Every material I use has to pass two quality control tests. Firstly - my materials have to endure a rigorous field test and pass with flying colours. Strength, durability, and flexibility is key. Secondly - Each material must have world class adhesive properties to ensure your next board retains its aqua-dynamic template, even after every day wear and tear. A strong, waterproof board is a fast board.

Carbon Stringer
For years it has been the board core which has provided the natural feel of flex and projection to your board however, the largest innovation in bodybording has been the added strength of a Carbon Stringer. Hand crafted into the center of your boards core, our Carbon Stringer magnifies the classic properties of your favorite Core. For example, Wave Core PE becomes stronger with greater recoil and projection while Propafoam PP become stiffer and faster, making for some of the biggest boost ever seen.
Propafoam (PP) Board Core
Propafoam PP 1.9pcf (pcf - pounds of PE per cubic foot), also Known as Polypro, Propafoam PP has become one of the few innovations when it comes to the bodyboard core. By designing your board with Propafoam PP, the classic flex of Wave Core PE is replaced with a stiffer lighter feel which is renown for it's incredible projection properties. Propafoam PP is a wise choice for those who preferred to surf in warmer water climates. Propafoam PP is the new age core which is an optional modification on most Unknown Boards.
Stamp
Unlike it's cheaper, less fortunate, screen printed brother, our foil stamp is literally melted into the deck creating a brand which stands the test of time. By the time our stamp has become worn, were pretty sure you would have ordered your next Ed Custom.

Wave Core PE is a wise choice for those who preferred to surf in colder water climates. Wave Core PE is the classic core which is standard on most Unknown Boards.
